East Grinstead
Weirwood Reservoir, East Grinstead
Built in 1954 and owned by Southern Water, the reservoir is home to mallard, coot and moorhen. The cormorant is a regular visitor from the coast, as is the Great Crested Grebe in the spring and the Osprey in the autumn when they stop off to feed and rest before their long migration to Africa.
This photo was taken from Blacklands Farm rocks - a band of exposed sandstone rock close to the National Trust property of Standen House just south of East Grinstead, West Sussex.
