Polegate Windmill

Polegate Windmill was built in 1817. In later years it fell into disrepair and an appeal was set up in 1964 to purchase and repair it.
Eastbourne and District Preservation Society officially became the owners in April 1965.
It now houses a museum of milling, showing tools and artefacts used throughout the ages.
