St Mary's Church Clock, Rye

The Church of St Mary, dating back to 1120, has a remarkable clock; few would suspect that the cherubic "Quarter Boys" who strike the quarter hours are fibre-glass copies of the originals which now reside inside the church. The inscription reads:

For our time is a very shadow that passeth away (Wisdom II.V)
